Marcel

Marcel Duchamp (also known as the happiest dog on earth) suffers from all the typical problems of a hand-raised puppy: overconfidence, a movie stars face, and more smarts than are good for him. He knows he is human, even if he runs like a dog.
Marcel was found in a parking lot by a couple out shopping, on Sunday morning, January 6, 1990. They had to reach through a hole in a chain-link fence to rescue him. They brought him to the animal hospital, and Lynda brought him home. He weighed less than a pound, with fresh umbilical cord attached, and was very, very cold. Several attempts to raise his body temperature using heating pads, hot water bottles, and hot baths, only warmed him up minimally. We finally applied direct body heat, and after six hours his temperature was almost back to near normal. After a week of intense care and feedings every three hours, the puppy began to thrive.
From then on, Marcel was a very healthy, incredibly strong puppy, both mentally and physically. Marcel is a constant pleasure. One of the happiest, people-loving, energetic dogs around.
